Marie Claire turned to us for assistance with an ambitious manual content migration project, transferring over 40,000 articles from its existing proprietary CMS to a new custom platform.
We deployed a team of 12 full-time migration admins, supported by quality assurance personnel and a dedicated project manager, to help our client achieve this goal. Working closely with Marie Claire’s editorial team from the start, we developed training manuals and other project documentation for internal and client use.
Our admin team worked tirelessly to migrate various article types, including listicles, news features, buying guides, reviews and image galleries. All this while maintaining meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate handling of metadata, body copy, images, videos, embedded media and everything else that goes into making a web page tick.
With Marie Claire’s content library spanning over 10 years, we added value by bringing older articles in line with modern standards, updating alt text and auditing links to ensure a consistent site-wide approach. We cropped images to fit the client’s new CMS templates and migrated all video content to a new media hosting service.
As a result of our efforts, Marie Claire was able to switch to its new CMS platform on schedule, minimising service disruption and maximising revenue.
